What is IWL?

The Islamabad Women League (IWL – Under 19) is a professional T20 cricket league organized by Cric19, designed exclusively for young female cricketers across Pakistan.

IWL is not just a competition — it’s a movement to empower girls, discover hidden talent, and prepare them for national and international cricket.

By providing world-class coaching, transparent selection, and a stage to perform, IWL aims to bridge the gap between dreams and opportunity.

League Format & Purpose

Feature	Detail
Teams & Players	Teams: 4 Players per Team: 14 Total Players Selected: 56 (through open trials)
Match & Tournament Type	Match Type: T20 Format Tournament Structure: Each team plays against all other teams.
Final Rounds & Fixtures	Final: Top 2 teams play the Grand Final. Fixtures include:A vs B, A vs C, A vs D, B vs C, B vs D, C vs D, and Final.
Selection Process	Conducted by a qualified committee of PCB Level-II coaches and the Cric19 chairman.
Transparency	Sponsors have no involvement in player selection — ensuring 100% merit-based opportunities.

Purpose:

Promote women’s cricket at the grassroots level.
Identify and train emerging female cricketers.
Create equal representation for women in Pakistan’s cricket structure.
Build a future pipeline for the National Women’s Cricket Team.
